DonorFoundry is designed to help nonprofit fundraisers use prospect intelligence in a focused, explainable, and responsible way. This policy describes expected use of donor research, enrichment, AI scoring, and outreach features.
1. Fundraising purpose
Use DonorFoundry prospect information for legitimate nonprofit fundraising, sponsorship, grant, stewardship, campaign-planning, and related relationship-management purposes. Do not use the platform for unrelated surveillance, harassment, eligibility decisions, or unlawful targeting.
2. Source-aware research
Prospect records may combine data from public, licensed, partner, customer-provided, and inferred sources. Where the product exposes source context or confidence indicators, use them. A source signal is not automatically proof that a prospect will donate or that every field is current.
3. Explainable AI assistance
Donor Intent™, suggested ask ranges, affinity signals, relationship clues, summaries, and other AI-assisted outputs are prioritization aids. They can be wrong. Users should review material facts and context before making a fundraising decision or communicating a claim about a person or organization.
4. Human-controlled outreach
AI may help draft an email, letter, call opener, proposal, or follow-up, but a nonprofit user should decide whether contact is appropriate and review the message before it is sent. DonorFoundry’s account pipeline is designed around human review rather than autonomous mass outreach.
5. Appropriate data minimization
Collect and use information that is relevant to the fundraising purpose. Avoid importing, storing, or acting on unnecessary sensitive information. Availability of information does not automatically make its use appropriate.
6. Suppression and preferences
Honor known opt-outs, do-not-contact requests, internal suppression lists, legal restrictions, and donor communication preferences. DonorFoundry’s transactional email system also maintains local suppression records for permanent SES bounces and complaints.
7. No unlawful discrimination or manipulation
Do not use DonorFoundry to make decisions that unlawfully discriminate against people or to exploit vulnerabilities. Prospect ranking should relate to legitimate fundraising relevance, capacity, timing, organizational fit, and relationship context.
8. Accuracy and correction
When you identify incorrect information in your own nonprofit account, update the profile or submit a correction request. For prospect data, use available source and feedback mechanisms and independently verify information that is material to a solicitation or relationship decision.
9. Security and access
Use individual team accounts, keep credentials confidential, remove departed users, and do not share bulk exports with unauthorized parties. Workspace owners are responsible for inviting and removing team members within their annual seat limits.
10. Enforcement
